Freedmen Nebraska - Go Big Red

Last Saturday, Christ Community had two buses of men from Old Mill and one from Sarpy travel to Lincoln to attend the Freedmen Nebraska event. Through a variety of speakers, worship and resources, men were encouraged to trust God and become "the most powerful force in the state of Nebraska-Christian men!" In the Pershing Center, 3,500 men from all over the state gathered to hear this message and be sent out to be bold men of Christ in their communities, schools, churches and homes. Every man was given a journal and instructions on how to use it to assist them in connecting with God through His Word. Many of the men have committed to reading the "One Year Bible" as a next step in their faith journey. Some men brought their sons and all participants received a Freedmen t-shirt and ticket to the Red and White Nebraska Spring Game at Memorial Stadium. The presence of these men wearing their shirts did not go unnoticed. Click on this link to the Omaha World Herald and read about "going grey" in the column.
